Should I choose RTF or Word?

Word (.docx) keeps a little more formatting. RTF opens in more programs, including simple ones like WordPad and TextEdit.

Does it work with scanned PDFs?

Yes. The text of scanned pages is read first, so it ends up editable in the RTF.

Is my PDF kept private?

Yes. Your file travels over an encrypted connection and stays private to you — nobody else can open it. Projects you save are kept in your account until you delete them, and download links we email you expire after 7 days.
