Terms of Service

These terms apply to curiositydiaries.com, its articles, accounts, AI tools and paid plans. By using the site you agree to them.

1. Content

Our articles explain real science and technology in plain language. We work hard to keep them accurate and cite sources, but they are for general education — not professional, medical, legal, financial or engineering advice. You may quote short excerpts with a link back; please don't republish whole articles or images without permission.

2. Accounts

You need an account for AI tools and some features. Keep your password secret and give accurate information. You must be at least 13 to create an account and at least 18 (or have a parent's permission) to buy a plan. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

3. AI credits

• AI tools are paid for with AI credits. 1 credit = US $0.001. New verified accounts receive 100 free credits ($0.10).
• The credit cost of each tool is shown before you run it. Chat replies are charged after they finish, based on their length (minimum 1 credit).
• If a generation fails on our side, its credits are automatically returned.
• Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred and are not refundable except where required by law or stated here. Unused subscription credits roll over while your account is open.
• Administrators may adjust balances to correct errors or abuse.

4. Subscriptions & payments

• Plans renew automatically each billing period at the price shown at checkout until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe.
• You can cancel at any time from Account → Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; you keep access and your credits until then. You can resume before the period ends.
• If a payment fails we'll retry and email you; the subscription may be suspended until payment succeeds.
• Refunds: if you are charged in error or by a technical fault, contact us within 14 days. Where local consumer law gives you a right to withdraw, we honour it; credits already used are deducted.
• We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next renewal.

5. Acceptable use of AI tools

You must not use the tools to create content that is illegal, sexually explicit involving minors, harassing, hateful, defamatory, infringes someone's rights, impersonates real people deceptively, or is intended to mislead (e.g. fake documents). Don't upload images you don't have the right to use. Don't attempt to overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service. We may refuse prompts, remove outputs and suspend accounts for misuse.

6. Ownership of outputs

As between you and us, you own the images and text you generate, subject to the terms of the underlying AI providers and the law where you live. AI output may be inaccurate or resemble existing works — you are responsible for how you use it. We may store outputs to show your history and may remove them after a reasonable period.

7. Comments & submissions

You keep ownership of comments and messages you send, and grant us a licence to display, moderate and remove them. Don't post spam, personal data of others or anything unlawful.

8. Availability & changes

We aim for a reliable service but can't guarantee it will always be available or error-free. Features, tools and prices may change. We'll post updated terms here and change the date above.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is", and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
